Sometimes during the eruption stage if one or more teeth are removed, the other teeth will realign themselves to a better alignment. For example, when the canine is blocked out, by removing one of the premolars on that side, the canine can have a chance to "drop" into position. This ONLY works in growing children whose teeth are still erupting.
The problem with removing teeth and leaving it to Mother Nature is that sometimes, there is amble room and the tooth still doesn't move into position. Wearing braces with or without removing teeth ensures that teeth move correctly in position and are held there to reinforce the new position.
In your overbite case, if you removed any teeth without braces, you would still have an overbite but now also be missing some teeth! In addition, teeth generally move forward, NOT backwards to bring in your overbite.
Sorry, but you would have to wear braces and/or a retainer to correct your overbite.
